The National Institute of Immunology (NII) is committed to advanced research addressing the basic mechanisms involved in the body’s defence and to identify modalities for manipulation of the immune system to provide protection against diseases. The institute’s focus is divided into four main themes: infection and immunity, molecular design, gene regulation and reproduction and development. NII has had a longstanding collaboration with BSI, being a key and early partner in the annual remote conference, QEII scholar exchange program and being involved in local outreach efforts.
